VIBRO BRUSHES are indispensable machines in grinding processes. They are used to sift wet and fatty floury products coming from filters and/or vibro brushes to extract flour. The process takes place by intensive sieving: the product is “launched” towards the veiling that remains clean through micro-vibrations.
The machine consists of:
- a rotor, composed of a shaft, installed on a double-row bearings of barrel rollers, on which radiant supports are attached and to which the beaters with an adjustable position are bolted;
- a mantle, fixed on both sides of the machine and easily removable, consisting of a nylon or stainless-steel mesh sustained and stretched on a semi-cylinder perforated sheet mantle;
- a central exhaust hopper that collects the product (flour) that manages to cross the sifting mesh and a hopper at the end that discharges the waste product (cortical parts).
The product is dragged from the inlet into the rotor of the machine by the feeding screw conveyor and distributed at the beginning of the mantle by a special centrifugal disc.
The machine gives the product a very rapid rotation through beaters. The product is then launched towards the sieving mesh that lets the thin parts pass. The larger product, on the other hand, remains inside the rotor and exits at the opposite side.
The mesh mantle is kept clean by a micro-vibration imprinted on the entire machine, generated by the same specially unbalanced rotor.
On the upper structure of the machine there are palettes that can be adjusted from the outside, which, depending on their inclination, regulate the advancement speed of the product, thus obtaining the desired performance. The movement is given to the rotor through chain referral by an electric motor usually placed under the machine, entrance side. In order not to transmit vibrations to the building, the machine lays on four elastic supports and the entrance and exit connections are made using cotton sleeves.
