The FANNING MILL is designed to separate from the cereal, through an air current, the lighter parts such as empty kernels, straw, powders, wilted grains, insects, etc.
Inside the machine, the flow of the product is optimized and distributed, then it is crossed by an air current that drags with it all the lighter parts and dusts, dropping the good product.
The machine is designed in two variants:
- CIRCULAR FANNING MILL, where the product flow is distributed in a circular way before being crossed by the airflow.
- LINEAR FANNING MILL, where instead the product flow is in a single linear front.
The CIRCULAR FANNING MILL
consists of two trunk cones, with large plexiglas windows for the control of the separation process; it is equipped with a butterfly shutter placed above the suction attachment, for the regulation of the airflow. The product enters the upper element and, through a fan, is distributed circularly in the lower cone. The air vortex generated by the conical shape of the suction chamber cleans the product flow from the lighter impurities. The lower part consists of a clean product discharge hopper.
The size of the machine depends on the capacity of the product to be treated.
The MOTORIZED CIRCULAR FANNING MILL is used when the capacity of the product flow is considerable. In it the distribution fan is operated through chains by a gear motor.
The LINEAR FANNING MILL
has a rectangular shape and the product is distributed in its entire length via a vibrating power supply. A specially created airflow passes through the product and rises to the top until it reaches the suction diffuser equipped with an adjustment valve. With a transparent and adjustable bulkhead system you can control the speed of the air and therefore the removal force of the light parts.
The capacity of this type of fanning mill is proportional to its length.
