Destoner

The DESTONER is a machine used in the cleaning sections of cereals or other grainy products such as legumes, coffee, etc.  It is essentially used to separate the product from stones, glass, metals and other impurities of high specific weight.

In the DESTONER the product, after entering the vibrating unit, is held in suspension due to the combined effect of air depression created by the suction and vibrations of the inclined sliding surface. The product in this way slowly slides down until it reaches the discharge, while impurities with higher specific weight, translate in the opposite direction towards the top of the sliding surface until they reach the heavy products discharge.

The sliding surface consists of a particular metal net that holds the product inside but allows the necessary airflow to pass through. The vibrations are created by the movement of a pair of motovibrators.

The effect of depression and therefore airflow inside the machine also removes the lighter impurities (straws, cereal film, etc.) that will be dragged to the suction system.

The machine therefore consists of:

  • Basic structure, attached to the floor, which supports the vibrating part, the entrance and the suction.
  • Vibrating part, with the worktop inside, moved by two motovibrators.
  • Power drawer, equipped with an adjustment valve with spring contrast.
  • Suction socket, with a throttle with micrometric regulation

Depending on the flow rate needs and the type of product to be processed, there are multiple models that differ in the surface of the worktop and therefore in the overall dimensions.

As with all G&AS construction machines, if required by functional and/or footprint requirements, the machine can be redesigned by varying its size and footprint.
