Pre-decanter

The PRE-DECANTER GDCT are used to filter roughly the air coming from the cleaning cycles, in order to remove the most part of the heavy parts and dust.

Therefore, they are used in the aspiration of cleaning systems, but also in grinding departments to decant and extract from the air the particles of specific weight greater than the air itself so that they do not go to engage the entire suction path, where they could obstruct the pipes.

Another important reason for the use of pre-decanters is to considerably reduce the amount of dust and/or particles that would also be destined to enter dusting filters, thus unburdening their filtering work and protecting them from wear and tear.

They are usually combined with fanning mills in order to immediately extract the aspirated particles before they are sent to the remaining suction cycle. Thus, through the control of the type of product extracted from the pre-decanter, it is possible to adjust the suction.

The pre-decanter is always paired with a stellar valve that discharges the decanting product.
The choice of the pre-decanter model and the stellar exhaust valve depends on the amount of air to be filtered and the volume of product expected at the outlet.

G&AS can usually build two types of pre-decanters, the vertical model and the horizontal model, different in shape and efficiency, to be used according to plant optimization. As with all G&AS construction machines, if required by functional and/or footprint requirements, the machine can be redesigned by varying its size and footprint.
